When sports become a challenge for your teeth

Here is a «sports» case by Borys Borysovych Shevchuk.

The patient came to us after an injury during wrestling training - the teeth on the right side became loose and started to hurt.

In addition, during some gym exercises, the front teeth were seriously damaged. The patient clenched his jaws so hard that the enamel began to wear down.

Unfortunately, the injury during wrestling turned out to be critical for several teeth, so they had to be removed.

The lost teeth were restored with a zirconia bridge.

Since the patient did not want to give up wrestling, we made an individual sports mouthguard for him. With it, he can continue training without the risk of further tooth loss.

As for the teeth worn down in the gym - they were restored with ceramic veneers.

As a result, the function and aesthetics of the teeth lost due to trauma were fully restored, and the worn teeth began to look natural again.
