This procedure requires a particularly balanced approach, thorough diagnosis, and an understanding of how the extraction of a permanent tooth can affect the bite, jaw growth, and the formation of the permanent dentition. It is important to note that after the removal of a permanent tooth, children often require observation by an orthodontist. This is necessary to prevent the displacement of adjacent teeth.
