How to survive the heat without air conditioning

It is going to be a hot week.

We have prepared several cool tips for you that will help you get through it even in conditions of frequent power outages:

  • Ventilate and keep the space shaded. In the morning and in the evening - before sunrise and after sunset - open the windows to let cool air in. During the day, close them and draw the curtains or blinds to protect the room from direct sunlight.
  • Cool your body. Take a cool shower or use wet towels to cool your body down. Drink more water and avoid alcohol and caffeine, as they contribute to dehydration.
  • Wear light and loose clothing. Wear light, loose clothing made of natural fabrics such as cotton or linen. Such clothing allows the skin to breathe and reduces sweating. In terms of style, clothes similar to Punjabi-style outfits are ideal - long-sleeved shirts made of very light fabric and matching trousers.
  • Eat cold meals. Salads, fruit, yogurt, and cold soup are an ideal menu for this week. Avoid using the oven or stove, as they produce a lot of heat.
  • Keep plants indoors. Place plants indoors that help reduce temperature and increase humidity. They also clean the air, which contributes to overall comfort.
  • Plan your activity. Avoid physical exertion during the hottest hours of the day. Plan your tasks for the morning or evening, when the temperature is lower.
  • Sleep on the floor. A bed heats up very quickly from our body, while tile, on the contrary, keeps coolness very well and helps cool the body down. So if you have tiled areas at home, we recommend sleeping right there on the floor (tested personally).

Take care of yourself.

Always yours, "Club 32"
